The Beef Information Centre (BIC) is hosting a booth and invites show delegates to visit and learn more about Canadian beef and how it makes sense for their restaurant business. There is lots going on at the booth, drop by for:
Expert Advice
BIC’s Foodservice Team and other key team members will be available at the booth to discuss the quality and safety of Canadian beef products and industry trends in the market place. BIC experts will also be present for more in-depth meetings with individual operators about what beef selections they currently offer, identify opportunities for Canadian beef to meet customer demands and explore beef product, supply, and menu choice options.
Cooking Demonstrations and Tasting
Using Canadian beef products from Honeyman's Beef Purveyors and prepared in a Rational Oven by Rational’s Executive Chef, the Beef Info rmation Centre (BIC) will be showcasing the versatility of beef cuts with different preparation ideas for restaurant operators. Products to be sampled over the course of the show include:
- Philly Steak Pizza
- Alberta Strip Steak Sandwich
- Santa Fe Griller Steak Wrap
- Beef Satay
NEW BIC is pleased to showcase a new beef product from Ontario Corn Fed beef Ontario Corn Fed Beef "Breakfast Beef"
- Cut from only Ontario Corn Fed Beef
- Eye of Round, lean cut
- Graded AA or higher
- Low Sodium, no preservatives
- Product is rolled in cornmeal
Excellent for a breakfast item, and an alternative to pea meal bacon. Excellent in a sandwich or bun or as a sliced roast item. Available pre-sliced or whole roast. Can be roasted, grilled or pan fried.
Menu Ideas
BIC will showcase a complete array of menu items in a vertical refrigerated showcase, so operators can see the finished plated beef dish. BIC will provide also provide costing information for each plate.
