Spotlight: The Station Tap House and Steak Company

A new steakhouse in North Bay that combines craft beers and fine dining is proud to serve Ontario Corn Fed Beef to its customers.

Chris White and Chef Steve Bugutsky became partners in 2014 and came up with the concept of the Tap House and Steak restaurant featuring local microbreweries and local Ontario beef products.

The restaurant is located in an historic building on McIntyre Street and has been open since January.

Station_boothThe restaurant prides itself on having two levels where the main level Tap House focuses on the micro beers and a pub style menu, and the upper level features the Ontario Corn Fed Beef Steak program and other high end entrées.

The Station has become known for serving high quality products and craft beers in a casual fine dining atmosphere.

They strive for exceptional customer satisfaction by embracing the motto, “Eat well; speak easy,” which delivers great food and great times.

The owners sought input from their food supplier, Sysco Foods, for products to fit their concept.

“We wanted to be known for the restaurant of choice for the people of North Bay to be able to go to for a great steak dinner,” said Chef Bugutsky.

“The Ontario Corn Fed line-up has been a great product to help us create this for our customers.”

The Ontario Corn Fed Beef (OCFB) program fits in exceptionally well to deliver an Ontario product that meets the needs of patrons who are seeking excellent quality, flavour and consistency when they visit the Station for an upscale dining experience.

They have included the OCFB products since day one and advertise the brand on their menu as a main focus as well as on their website and Facebook pages.

The dishes that they promote through the OCFB program include the 8-oz Sirloin, a 14-oz Bone-in Rib-eye, and the choice of a 10-oz or 14 oz Striploin. They also ran features including an 8-oz Beef Tenderloin and a Boneless Rib-eye in cuts of 12-oz and 16-oz.

Response has been exceptional as the Station enjoys receiving repeat business from its customers who have been the best source of advertising for them.
